Although 25 years ago, most Berliners still remember the impressive wrapping of the Reichstag in summer 1995. This will be the focus of the exhibition “Christo and Jeanne-Claude – Projects 1963–2020”. From 21 March to 17 August 2020, the Palais Populaire will present works from the Jochheim Collection, tracing the history of the large-scale artistic projects. But also earlier works of the popular artist couple will be shown at the historical palais Unter den Linden. Time and time again, Christo and his deceased wife Jeanne-Claude inspired the general public with their wrapping projects around the globe. Christo’s last work of art “Floating piers” attracted thousands of people to travel to Lake Iseo in Italy.
An exciting culinary journey: Berlin Food Week 2020
The Berlin Food Week is an unique food festival which brings together foodies, chefs, restaurateurs and the food industry. Should you be around between 26 October and 01 November 2020 don’t miss this opportunity and check out the House of food at Bikini Berlin or dine in one of the many restaurants which will create special menus just for the festival.
It is no secret that Berlin is developing at a fast pace and building activities seem to pop up even at the last unused spaces in former neglected neighborhoods. However, street art is still a common sight in the city centre. Are you interested in the stories behind it? We invite you on a tour to discover the scene in one of the oldest alternative districts – an area full of vibrant energy.
