Spectacular Wrappings

Although 25 years ago, most Berliners still remember the impressive wrapping of the Reichstag in summer 1995. This will be the focus of the exhibition “Christo and Jeanne-Claude – Projects 1963–2020”. From 21 March to 17 August 2020, the Palais Populaire will present works from the Jochheim Collection, tracing the history of the large-scale artistic projects. But also earlier works of the popular artist couple will be shown at the historical palais Unter den Linden.  Time and time again, Christo and his deceased wife Jeanne-Claude inspired the general public with their wrapping projects around the globe. Christo’s last work of art “Floating piers” attracted thousands of people to travel to Lake Iseo in Italy.
